Alex B. Cory, CEOAlex Cory is an experienced leader in the development and growth of early stage technology businesses in software and internet services. From January of 2002 to the end of 2003 when Yahoo! closed its acquisition, he led efforts to build web search, local paid search, and online marketing services businesses as the EVP for Overture. Since then, he has focused on stepping into early stage businesses to help founders organize for substantial growth and find a path to successful exit. He has led businesses in enterprise software, machine vision technologies, distributed computing, and internet telephony. Prior to joining Nami Media, he successfully sold Neven Vision to Google in 2006 and grew FreeConference.com threefold from 2006 to 2008. Alex started his career as an economist before joining McKinsey and Company for 7 years and then transitioning into general management, running several businesses at Cargill over an 8 year span. Gary Mittman, President / Co-FounderGary Mittman has spearheaded innovation in multiple digital markets for over a decade. Mr. Mittman began his career in the Music business as Assistant to Clive Davis, President of Arista Records. He went on to run the premier New York performance nightclub of the 80s, "The Ritz". He became creator and Executive Producer of the MTV network concert series "Live at the Ritz:". After the sale of business, Mr. Mittman began producing groundbreaking television Infomercials and commercials as Vice President of New Business Development & Direct Response at Western International Media. During his tenure Mr. Mittman worked with clients that included Disney, Federal Express, and GE. In 1995 he was one of the founding internet application developers and ultimately started an early internet company that focused on interactive video conferencing and subscription based billing applications. Under Mr. Mittmans leadership, the business grew to over 50 employees and achieved revenues in excess of twelve million dollars annually. Mr. Mittman continues to be actively involved in the Southern California interactive community. Ethan Joffe, Chief Technology Officer / Co-FounderMr. Joffe is a technology veteran with over 20 years experience innovating. Prior to Nami Media, Mr. Joffe served as Director of Operations for Super11.net where he managed the technology development of the largest free ISP in Brazil. Mr. Joffe helped grow the company from 20 to 150 employees, while architecting and managing the full product development cycle for Amigo (the company's flagship client/server advertising and services console). Prior to Super11.net, Mr. Joffe was involved in founding several technology startups and has served in a variety of senior level management positions at companies that include Hip Software, VPL Research, Xaos Tools, WorldSite Networks and The Tool Foundry. Mr. Joffe was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he spent several years as a researcher in The Media Lab as a member of the Experimental Music Studio and Apple Computer's Vivarium project. Jeff Yoak, VP EngineeringJeff Yoak brings over 15 years of experience to the role of managing technology and products to Nami Media. He has contributed through the phases of startup and growth of companies in the search and advertising spaces such as idealab! and Oversee.net. At Bizrate / Shopzilla, as owner of all consumer-facing technology, he integrated a successful large-scale traffic monetization system with successfully building a brand of a leading destination shopping site. Combining leadership experience with a background as a scientific engineer, Jeff both hones the algorithms and intelligent systems at Nami and creates infrastructure and process allowing Nami to extend its reach to new and greater markets. Peter Mair, Acting CFOPeter Mair is an experienced CFO who has worked in companies from early stage through midmarket growth--including Mentor, The Brown Schools, and The Aspen Education Group--that have both been acquired and worked through the IPO process to go public. He has provided financial leadership on both buy-side and sell-side acquisition initiatives. He has worked for a top ten accounting firm, and also spent a year as a Sarbanes-Oxley expert preparing a company for the rigorous requirements of public company reporting. |
